The Cultural Alignment Index

Every organization has a culture, but not every culture is intentional. When Purpose, Vision, Values, and Strategy (PVVS) are fully aligned throughout your organization, from leadership outward, culture becomes a powerful driver of both people and performance. Employees feel energized and connected to purpose, leaders model the behaviors they expect, and systems reinforce the values that matter most. When alignment is missing, culture will always default to unspoken norms, leading to silos, disengagement, and inconsistent, sluggish performance. This 5-minute assessment is designed to help you uncover where your culture stands today and identify opportunities for greater cohesion.

What This Assessment Measures

The Cultural Alignment Index examines alignment across four “cascading” layers of culture:

  • Executive Leadership – Do senior leaders model and communicate PVVS consistently?
  • Middle Management (“The Mighty Middle”) – Are managers effectively translating values into daily operations?
  • Employee Experience – Do employees feel energized, valued, and connected to the culture?
  • Systemic Reinforcement – Do organizational systems actively support the desired culture? This includes structure, processes, rewards, development, decision-making, and communication.
Use this score as your starting point. These insights should spark critical leadership conversations, clarify priorities, and help you begin intentionally building a culture where people and performance thrive.
